Katrina victims
Another picture of Frank with Vicki on his right and
Corky on his left.
Dennis shows us Frank's house during mucking. There
were cockroaches, maggots, mold and some science
experiments of possible alien origin. Dennis took
his mask off long enough for the photo.
Pile of removed furniture and belongings in front
of Franks house. This scene was almost too much
for him to bear, but he wanted to be there. He is
leaning on his car talking to Vicki.
Cleaning up the master bedroom at Franks. We had
to throw alot of his deceased wife's things away.
The pain for him and for the rest of us was
palpable.
Frank's bedroom before clean-up. We were able to
save the nice cedar chest.
No, that is not fancy wallpaper, that's mold!
Crew at the end of the day.
Front L-R: Dennis, Frank, Denise, Erica
Rear L-R: Me, Stephanie, Katie, Dave, Peg (Frank's
friend), Anita, Caitlin

More signs along the road...
Fond farewell...
Abandoned streets were regularly patrolled by the police.
All homes had this type of mark on them. The top quadrant
"9-14" indicates date the house was searched by rescue
teams, "IL" is the team ID, "Dog" means one pet, a dog
was found (probably dead), and the "0" indicates the
number of human bodies found.
Ths boat, far from the water, is named "TSUNAMI"
Found in the dried, black muck, this is a prophetic
sign to us volunteers...

Chair in tree
Notice the tent made with the blue tarp. Someone was
sleeping there!
Everywhere you look, block after block, mile after
mile, there is trash along the median and on
sidewalks. FEMA comes by every week for more pickups.
